Arbitration is an alternative form of dispute resolution, to litigation. Parties entering into a dispute may either choose to go to arbitration or may be governed by an pre-existing agreement to resolve disputes by arbitration. Arbitrators are required to declare on appointment that they have no prior acquaintance to either party. This requirement, together with the mandatory Arbitrators Act and Association’s Rules ensures that the arbitrator acts impartially. For further information please go to www.arbitrators.co.za
